You know what? I have spent money on top of money trying to keep my 4 hair moisturized. The longer it grew, the drier it got. I lucked up on your video and made this moisturizer last night and this morning. My hair is still moisturized 6 hours later. THANK YOU so much. Finally something that works and it costs so much less than the ones I purchased!
@rellww —Some stores like Walgreens, CVS, Duane Reade etc. carry it also.
You are right when you said that your hair can become too soft. My two strand twists did not hold but my hair was hecka soft! I think I will have to do like 1.875 ml of the veggie glycering to 16 ounces of water. With the essential oils, it ended up being greasy. I will have to find the right mix.
Can I use this on wet hair, then blow dry??
If you can find it use DEIONIZED WATER
HEY my name is Toi too!!! YAY lol … thanks for that tip … i have been hearing alot about vg lately … im gonna try some! i just hope i dont have to buy it online … :-/
try Amazon and eBay if you cannot find the product in your area.
I bought it from my local whole foods store but any vitamin store should carry it.
where do you find the vegetable glycerin? We can only find the glycerin for dry skin. What aisle is it on in the grocery store? . I use the glycerin for skin and it works well but I’d rather use the veggie glycerin. Thanks.
you can get in a whole food store like peachtree natural foods if you have one in your area. i havent seen it in a a regular store.
Oh no! I was about to try this for detangling my hair, but it seems that you say that is tangles the hair after a while?
What aisle do you buy veggie glycerin??
Nice to meet you I am Black, but my hair isn’t damaged, dry, or “freezy”. The way you say that sounds a bit Stereotypical. You should be aware of the way you say things.
Hi, this does work on damaged hair because it is very moisturizing/conditioner. Please be aware that being Mexican, Caucasion or African American does not dictate the products you use on your hair, hair texture and hair needs dictate what you use on your hair. If your hair is dry and damaged then regardless of being a certain race, your hair will need MOISTURE/Conditioning.
I am not trying to offend you or anyone else, but hair types are NOT dictated by someones race.
Wow really? I haven’t heard about that… and to be honest I haven’t used VG in a while because I’ve been to lazy to mix it…. I will try it again and let you know what happens.
I have natural black hair… and vg softens it, gives it body/shine, and makes my curls pop. However, and I’ve never really heard this addressed, I think vg pulls the strands together in the shape of my curl pattern, gets stuck in there (even after washing with acv), and begins to matt– and THAT really makes the curls pop at first, but requires some significant detangling after a while to prevent locs.
…Just my experience!
does this work for damaged hair? I’m mexican bu my hair is very damaged , dry adn freezy do u think it would help using this?
Thanks for the information!!!! So glycerin softens the hair? Can it be used without water or should it always be diluted?
drink plenty water, use shampoos w/o drying agents such as sodium laurel sulfate; hot oil treatments that you mix or purchase. “tui oil” by carol’s daughter helped me. i’ve also used my own combinations of veggie glyc, castor, vit E & jojoba; use an ACV rinse on your scalp. it clarifies well and doesn’t leave the scalp so dry. hope that helps.
you have the most beautiful skin
thank you for you info on the veg.glycerine…i try too email you but it wouldn’t go through… anyway thank you
Thanks I will try this. Blessings to you.
how you keep it bacteria free and safe to use. Anytime you use water, you need something to keep from growing bacteria..what do u use? Thanks for posting the vid!
what’s good for extremely dry scalp?
yup been doin this for years too…i think i use Rosemary EO.
