What skincare steps are you taking for the big day?

Just wondering if anyone is doing anything special in preparation for their wedding day… or if anyone can recommend some good products to really make your skin glow in those wedding photos!

I go for regular facials and use Murad. I LOVE their products, they’re pricey but last a lonnnng time. Also they’re very gentle on your skin…mine is usually pretty sensitive. I’ve seen a huge difference in my skin since using these!

I’m just using the OTC peels, and collagen fillers. I figure we live together, and he’s seen me with out makeup, so….
This is gonna sound like a sales-pitch, but I mean this as a sincere suggestion: Avon.
They’ve got tons of products, varying price ranges, and I find their stuff works really well.
I use moisturizer & daily scrub from their clean & clear line and a really nice exfolliant from the Anew line, that you only use a couple times a week.
I actually got microdermabrasion done several times before my wedding. It made my skin flawless and it glowed–I got tons of compliments.
In addition, I did my normal routine. I also used extra sunscreen.
I have really sensitive, oily and acne prone skin, so I needed to do more than most.
I used an acne cleanser everyday (Clean and Clear). I do not suggest that most of you use this, as it is for teens (I am 25)!
I used Dermalogica products:
-Skin Clearing Gel and Booster
-Soothing Protection Spray
-Moisturizer
I also used an organic line:
-Rosehip moisturizer
-Tomato oil control gel
I used Thalgo seaweed masks.
I went for regular European facials and peels.
Some people also use microdermabrasion, Retin-A, or laser peels. Others use fillers and botox as well.
I used plain old sea salt as a cheap bacteria fighting exfoliant.
I drank lots of water and used the following supplements:
Omega 3-6-9 fatty acids
“Perfect Skin” (check of local health food stores)
Folic Acid and Vitamin C
Regular exercise is great for skin too.
Although I don’t suggest it’s healthy to do, I went tanning to help clear up my back. I only did this for 1 month. I otherwise stay out of the sun. If you have the money, Blue Light can also clear up acne UVA/UVB ray free, it’s about $900 for 3 treatments, depending on the doctor.
A good moisturizer I still use is MAC “Strobe” cream. It leaves a healthy rosy pink glow.
Good luck!
If you have severe acne, consult a derm for Rx antibiotics and creams.
